Hey!

Ever wonder what 75 hours feels like? Start your watches.

2005, my water breaks. Contractions start in 15 minutes.

Maybe next year I'll be over this instead of shoving it in everyone's faces all over again.

it's ok to remember it all. 75 hours is a LONG time!

Sigh.

You may get too busy, eventually, to think about it as much, but in my experience, the body doesn't forget. That's why it merits the PTSD label, right?

My heart clenches not just at the 75 hours, but at what came after for you guys.

75 hours. I thought watching supermum go through forty was bad but 75...

My longest 37 hours. And she is 14 soon and I still haven't forgotten.

Thanks for the sympathy, all.

Jody, I think for a long while I was too busy to understand how much the labor contributed to the PTSD. I mean, the NICU would have done plenty all by itself, and without the NICU the impact of the 75 hours would have been very different.

It wasn't until I started putting the NICU story into some kind of shape that I started looking at the labor trauma more directly.
