Let's call it a blogaversary

My actual blogaversary, by the calendar, is this Friday, but I'll be out of town by the end of that day, putting up pre-written stuff over the weekend if I can swing it.

The subject of my first post, though, was our tradition of going to the Four Seasons for tea once a year, around Valentine's Day, and this year we went today. It was neither a particularly good tea or a particularly bad one. It seemed less magical than it has previous years, at least to me, but Z. had looked forward to it for days, and buzzed with excitement every minute of today, and I don't think she was disappointed. That, I guess, is much of the point of making a holiday for your kid.

Happy blogaversary!

Hooray! Dudelet's equivalent at the moment is (of all places) Yo Sushi which is his favourite place in the whole world, apparently. The food is actually kind of so-so but you can't argue with a five year old about a conveyor belt full of little plates...

w00t! Happy Blogaversary! I have a friend who loved going to the Four Seasons here for tea about twice a year. I wasn't so impressed after a while, but if yours is anything like mine, I can see how Z. would enjoy it immensely.

Also, my captcha is "vexess," which is not how I would describe you at all, but I mention it mainly because it sounds like a neologism for a woman who vexes people...and somehow I find that amusing.
